Abstract:

To provide an apparatus and method capable of accurately detecting a signal in quantum encryption communication.

In communication processing on the basis of quantum encryption, a first communication terminal outputs a plurality of pulse lights transmitted with time differences on a communication path and a second communication terminal executes attenuation and modulation processing for only pulse lights selected from the received pulse lights and returns the attenuated pulse lights and the pulse lights not attenuated to the first communication terminal, the first communication terminal receives the attenuated pulse lights and the pulse lights not attenuated to execute analysis of communication information by means of interference measurement on the basis of the attenuated pulse lights and the pulse lights not attenuated. Moreover, since the apparatus is configured to execute the interference measurement on the basis of each pulse light by matching a forward path with a return path between the communication terminals for each pulse light, the apparatus can carry out accurate interference measurement and information detection.
