To provide a quantum key delivery system in which a common key is shared in safety between two, three or more nodes out of three or more nodes, and to provide a quantum key generation method.
The quantum key delivery system comprises polarization tangle optical sources 101 and 102, an auxiliary node 130, and nodes 111 to 114 wherein the auxiliary node comprises HWPs 151 and 152 capable of rotating the axial direction and receiving signal photons outputted from the polarization tangle optical sources 101 and 102 and passing them, a PBS 160 for outputting a vertically polarized wave passed through the HWPs 151 and 152 and their signal photons to predetermined ports, and HWPs 153 and 154 capable of rotating the axial direction and passing signal photons outputted from the PBS. The node 111-114 comprises a photodetector with a polarization discriminating function for receiving photons from the polarization tangle optical source and discriminating longitudinal polarization, transverse polarization, +45° polarization, and -45° polarization.
