Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress expansion of air bubbles in a heat insulation layer at the time of using a crucible.
SOLUTION: The quartz glass crucible is provided with a crucible wall having a silicon single crystalline drawing-up opening, and the crucible wall is constituted of a quartz glass, and is provided with the heat insulation layers with a lot number of air bubbles for heat insulation of the inside of the opening and distributing in layered form in the crucible wall. The heat insulation layer contains a crystallization accelerator for quartz glass. Various kinds of metallic ions or crystalline silica, etc., are used as the crystallization accelerator.
