Title:
QUICK-DRYING PRINTING INK COMPOSITION AND INCREASE OF DRYING SPEED IN PRINTING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09118854
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain the subject composition capable of improving the drying speed of a printed pattern applied to a substrate by adding a specific amount of a base to the blend of an anionically stabilized latex binder with a multi- functional amine.

This composition comprises (A) the blend of an anionically stabilized latex binder with a multi-functional amine (preferably oxazolidinylethyl methacrylate) in an amount of 0-20wt.% based on the whole weight of the solid content of the binder, (B) an anionically stabilized amine- modified latex binder, or the combination of the component A with the component B, and (C) a base (preferably ammonia). Therein, the component C is compounded in an amount sufficient for raising the pH of the latex binder, preferably to 9.5-10.5, so as to maintain all of the multi-functional amine in the component A, all of the component B or all of the combination of the components A and B in a proton-removed state. The acid value of the component A or B is preferably 0-390.
