Abstract:
To provide a quick freezing device and a quick freezing method capable of improving a freezing rate of a sample in liquid, to reduce damage of the sample in a freezing process.SOLUTION: A quick freezing device 10 comprises: a freezing substrate 22 arranged inside a glove box 12 and cooled so that a sample adhering to a surface can be frozen, and an electrospray part 30. The electrospray part 30 has a needle-shaped member 32 that is formed in a thin tubular shape and whose tip portion is arranged so as to face the freezing substrate 22. The needle-shaped member 32 is filled with sample liquid in which a sample is mixed. Also, the needle-shaped member 32 is configured to electro-spray the sample liquid toward the freezing substrate 22 by applying a voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
