Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of a nozzle exchange by forming a nozzle member as a bell-and-spigot joint so as to allow the quick release and connect thereof.
CONSTITUTION: This nozzle assembly consists of a needle seat 16 to be mounted to a dispensing head 18 of a standard size and a nozzle member 12 to be bell- and-spigot connected to its cylindrical engaging portion 22. A pair of pins 32 are disposed below the cylindrical engaging portion 22. The nozzle member 12 is provided with a slot and track for engaging and guiding the pins 32 and a channel 46 and an O-ring 14. This bell-and-spigot joint enables a user to rapidly and surely release and connect the nozzle 2 by manually half rotating the nozzle.
