Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a sound casting without enlarging the vols. of a runner and a gate by providing a molten metal pouring hopper near the side of a spruce arranged at one end side in the longitudinal direction of a mold, shifting a mold from a horizontal direction to a vertical direction and pouring the molten metal from the hopper during this tilting.
CONSTITUTION: The mold 30 of a fixed mold or a movable mold is tilted from the horizontal direction to the vertical direction by tilting a tilting table with a tilting motor and the molten metal is poured into the mold 30 from the molten metal pouring hopper 17 during this tilting. The starting of the pouring of the molten metal through the hopper 17 depends on the fitting positional relation of the hopper 17 to a left tilting table base. The pouring of the molten metal is started from the position tilted at about 38° to the horizontal position of the mold 30 and the pouring is completed at the position at 90° to the horizontal position of the mold 30.
