Abstract:
To obtain the subject new glycoside usable as e.g. an antiallergic agent useful in the treatment of various allergic diseases, by amidation of a specific quinolinone glycoside with a sinapic acid halide.
This glycoside is a new quinolinone glycoside (salt) of formula I (R1 and R2 are each H, glucuronyl, glucosyl, galactosyl or mannosyl; wherein R1 and/or R2 is a glycosyl group, the hydroxyl group of which is either unprotected or protected with a 2-7C acyl or benzyl group) and is used as e.g. an antiallergic agent highly useful in the treatment of various allergic diseases. The new glycosmcie is obtained by amidation of a quinolinone glycoside of formula II with a sinapic acid derivative of the formula (R4 is hydroxyl group or a halogen).
