Abstract:
A periodontal pocket cleaner which has an extremely excellent effect of preventing the periodontal disease, and a low possibility of damaging the periodontal pocket, can be used at any place without limitation on installation place, can produce a stable atomized jet without being affected by the position of height of a handy probe and moreover, can be produced economically. The periodontal pocket cleaner includes a handy probe equipped with an air jet mechanism, an air pump for producing compressed air and an air-feed tube for feeding compressed air from the air pump to the handy probe. A tank for storing water or a liquid containing medicaments is provided to the handy probe, the jet pressure for jetting compressed air from the nozzle of the handy probe is 0.05 to 0.80 kg/cm<2>, the rate of jet of compressed air is 2 to 30 l/min and the rate of jet of the liquid is 1 to 10 cc/min.
