Abstract:
To provide a wireless tag reading device that can reduce leakage of radio waves from a front opening part at low cost.SOLUTION: A self-checkout device (a wireless tag reading device) includes: a storage part formed by a bottom surface, a left side surface (a first side surface) standing from the bottom surface, a right side surface (a second side surface) opposite to the left side surface, a rear surface connecting the left side surface and the right side surface, and storing a commodity with a wireless tag; a front opening part and an upper surface opening (an opening) provided at a front surface side and an upper surface side of the storage part, and forming an inlet/outlet for a commodity when storing/taking out the commodity in/from the storage part; a reading part having an antenna that emits radio waves to the commodity stored in the storage part to read a response signal from the wireless tag; radio wave reflection parts provided on external surfaces of the left side surface, the right side surface, and the rear surface as well as the bottom of the bottom surface to reflect the radio waves; and a radio wave transmission part provided with a gap from an outside rear surface at least on the front opening part side of the rear surface to transmit the radio waves.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
