Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance the anti-abrasiveness of a rack bushing by forming it from a resin bearing material consisting of at least one out of the group, which comprises polyacetal, polyamide, polyphenylene sulfide, polybutyl telephthalate and super-highpolymer polyethylene, and also wiskers of Zn oxide.

CONSTITUTION: The base of the resin bearing material for a rack bushing 1 is at least one of the polyacetal, polyamide, polyphenylene sulfide, polybutyl telephthalate, and super-highpolymer polyethylene. As wiskers of Zn oxide included in this base material assume the form of tetrapod, it is not required to take the directionality into consideration when the resin is left to injection molding, and this shape of tetrapod prevents exfoliation effectively. Thus stable anti-abrasiveness can be obtained.
