To provide a rack device allowing sure and smooth operability by stabilizing the operation of a lock member rotatably fitted to the rack in a show case having a freely drawable rack.
This rack device 1 is applied to a show case in which a rack 3 capable of freely moving in the longitudinal direction is erected on a pair of right and left brackets 28 through a slide rail. The device includes a lock member 43 rotatably fitted to a rotating shaft 44 provided on the rack 3, having a front end operating part 47 and a rear end hook part 48; an engagement part attached to a bracket or a member attached to it where the hook part 48 of the lock member 43 is removably engaged when the rack 3 is pushed in, and a plate spring 51 for always energizing the hook part 48 in the engaging direction with the engagement part. The rack 3 is provided with a regulating member 42 having a regulating surface 42A intersecting perpendicularly to the axial direction of the rotating shaft 44 to allow the regulating surface 42A of the regulating member 42 to slidably abut to the lock member 43 or make it close thereto.
