To drop all of plant-cultivating containers between rack rails to hold the containers without requiring much labor therefor and to prepare rack devices of various sizes at low cost.
A rack device is provided with a plurality of longitudinally spaced rack rails 6, longitudinally extending right and left support members 9 supporting both ends of each rack rail 6, and longitudinally extending right and left pressure members 7 pressing both ends of each rack rail 6 from above. The rack rail 6 is formed by longitudinally spaced vertical walls and a horizontal wall connecting the upper ends of the vertical walls together. A number of grooves 11a in which the vertical walls of the rack rail 6 are fitted are formed in each support member 9, and the support members 9 and the pressure members 7 are fixed together using fixing means 13, 14 so that the rack rails 6 are sandwiched between the support members 9 and the pressure members 7 while the interval between the adjacent rack rails 6 is adjusted so that the flange of a cultivating container dropped between the rack rails 6 can be supported by the rack rails.
