Abstract:
PURPOSE:To permit engagement of a pinion disposed at any position around the axis of a rack by forming independent endless teeth at a predetermined pitch along the axial direction on the outer surface of a rod-like base member. CONSTITUTION:A rod-like base member 4 having a round outer surface is formed on the outer surface with endless teeth 5 extending continuously around the axis O and arranged independently of each other at a predetermined pitch d1 along the axial direction Z. Thus, as a pinion can be engaged at any position around the axis O, convenience of disposition of the rack can be remarkably improved.
