Abstract:
To provide a rack and pinion type steering device which can reduce the number of parts while an adjuster plug is fixed securely and maintain sufficiently a sealing property without using any sealant or adhesive agent.
A crimped groove is formed in one of an adjuster plug 1-7 and a casing 1, the adjuster plug 17 is screwed into a pad hole 14a, and a part of the other of the adjusting plug and the casing 1 is crimped into the crimped groove. Also the adjuster plug 17 is screwed into the pad hole 14a, a tapered surface 26 is brought in contact pressingly with a seal member 28.
