PURPOSE: To simplify structure, and reduce the number of parts by providing a rack with a fixing means to fix an auxiliary rack to a rack main body at a specified angle with a clamp-like fixing member to be set between the rack main body and the auxiliary rack.

CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary rack 15 is connected through a thin hinge 16 to a rack main body 11, and it is fixed to the rack main body 11 at a specified angle by a clamp-like fixing member 18. Each support member 1 2 is elongated, and both end parts of it are pressed to wall surfaces for self-holding the rack main body 11. Next, for letting the auxiliary rack 15 function as a drop protective rack for articles placed on a rack part 13, both end parts of the fixing member 18 are respectively inserted into holes 11B, 15A, so the auxiliary rack 15 gets into a standing condition. In the case of enlarging an area for holding the articles, both end parts of the fixing member 18 are respectively inserted into holes 11A, 15A to keep the auxiliary rack 15 horizontal.
