To extend the length of a racket by fitting a special 'extension module'.
This racket is composed of a head 1 and a shaft 2, a separable extension module 8 for supporting a hand grip is fitted to the shaft 2. Two components 2 and 8 are fixedly locked by wedge operation in one body. Preferably, legs 4 and 5 are provided at the free end of the shaft 2, a slot 6 is formed from the legs 4 and 5, and a wedge shape 7 is formed on the slot 6. The extension module 8 is pressed and fitted onto the legs 4 and 5, a lock device is inserted into the slot 6, and the lock device has a wedge element to be abutted onto the wedge shape 7. The various extension modules 8 can give rackets having various lengths and/or grip sizes while being available at the sale shop of rackets.
