Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve attenuating ability of vibration and fatigue strength of a frame part by mixing a thermosetting long fiber reinforced plastic with a thermoplastic long fiber reinforced plastic. CONSTITUTION: In the structure of a racket frame 1 made of a fiber-reinforced plastic, a thermosetting long fiber reinforced plastic is mixed with a thermoplastic fiber reinforced plastic. To form the racket frame 1, for example, a core material 4 made of a synthetic resin foam is covered with a thermosetting long fiber reinforced plastic 5 and moreover the outermost layer of the frame is molded by the thermoplastic long fiber reinforced plastic 6. In the molding, there are arranged a process of covering the core material with a prepreg impregnated with a thermosetting resin and a process of covering it with a sheet or a cylinder made of the thermoplastic long fiber reinforced plastic. After the work is set in a die for molding, the die is heated and moreover, cooled and then, released to complete the formation.
