Title:
RACKET FRAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3401163
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a racket frame which is excellent in both regidity, strength and vibration damping performance and on which a variation in these by an environmental (humidity) change is reduced.
SOLUTION: In this frame, two blades composed of carbon fiber whose fiber direction is 24 degrees and two blades composed of carbon fiber whose fiber direction is 45 degrees, are laminated, and are wound round a 66 nylon tube 2 out-fitted to a mandrel 1 of &phiv 17, and a lay-up 4 is made. This is soaked in a resin composition 5 by mixing bisphenol A type epoxy resin, (meta) acrylic polymer particulates where a core composed of a rubber-like polymer component is covered with a shell composed of a vitrified polymer component, a hardening agent, an hardening accelerator and an aliphatic monoglycidyl ether diluent, and the lay-up 4 after soaking is artificially hardened by an oven of 100°C, and this artificially hardened lay-up 4a is set in a metal mold 6, and is heated and molded at 150°C for 15 minutes while sending compressed air into the tube.
