To make the extending of gut easy even in positions where warp and weft overlap on each other and further to make gut protective materials distortion-free and hardly breakable by forming rugged fitting parts between the inside surfaces of the gut protective materials 1a and the outside surface of a racket face part in the positions where at least the warp and weft of the gut protective materials 1a intersect with each other.

A groove part 11 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the face part exclusive of a yoke on the outer side of the racket face part. Gut insertion holes 12 are drilled at the part and the gut protective materials 1a are housed into the groove 11. Projecting parts 4 and recessed parts 13 to be fitted are formed within the groove 11 and the gut protective materials 1a are fitted by both. The gut protective materials 1a are applied to the intersected parts P of the warp 21 and weft 22 on the lower left side of the racket face part 10. Then, the warp 21 and weft 22 to be spread in the racket face part 10 have the structure that both penetrate the inside of the same cylindrical part 2 in the intersected parts P and are arranged respectively separately to the right and left of the projecting parts arranged at the outside surfaces of the gut protective materials 1a. The overlapping of the gut does not occur even in the parts P intersecting with each other.
