Title:
RACKET FOR TABLE TENNIS FORMED BY UTILIZING BAMBOO LAMINATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09239084
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To generate the speed at hit ball not possible heretofore, to substantially prevent the failure of a racket and to decreases the player' economical burden by forming a bamboo laminate by adhering plural split bamboos and forming these bamboos to a planar form and utilizing this bamboo laminate for the main body of the tennis tennis racket.

The bamboo laminate 1 is formed by selecting bamboo from the natural wood permitted by the rule of table tennis, splitting this bamboo to form the plural split bamboos and adhering and molding the bamboos to the planar form. Further, the bamboo laminate is worked as it is as veneer to the main body of the table tennis racket or is utilized by fully or partially working the bamboo laminate to ≥2 sheets of plywood. As a result, the racket has the extremely high elasticity and repulsive force like those of the bamboo used for bows, etc., from the ancient. The bamboo is a material which is used as the bamboo sword of Kendo (Japanese fencing), etc., and does not break crack against impact and, therefore, the racket hardly breaks in spite of slight hitting against a ping-pong table or floor. Since the bamboo has the nature to bend, the racket is liable to impart rotation to the hit ball.
