The radar device can be operated selectively so as to rotate the antenna 1 at least with two mutually different velocities through the plurality of the revolutions. And the radar device has the regular antenna 1 which rotates by a three phase motor and a gear box 2. A motor 2 is driven by changing alternately the electrical signal of a line 3 by an inverter 4. The inverter 4 generates an alternate signal and its frequency depends on a signal supplied to an input through a serial link 5 like a CAN bus. The radar device has a display and a control unit 6. The unit 6 has a display screen 7 and various control units 8 which can be operated by a user.
