To provide a radar device and a processing method for efficiently continuing each process by avoiding operational anomaly caused by an overload without increasing the number of processors or carrying out a processor change even if the load of each process increases when using software to carry out processes such as signal processing after A/D conversion, data processing, and display processing.

The status of process load as to each process is monitored/observed at all times by providing a buffer memory monitoring part 103, a pilot signal adding part 105, a first pilot signal monitoring part 110, a second pilot signal monitoring part 113, a first data selection part 104, a second data selection part 108, and a third data selection part 111. When the process load of a specific process increases, the process load is lightened by thinning out data by a prescribed method according to the process by the first, second, and third selection parts 104, 108, and 111.
