Abstract:
To provide a radar system for accurately estimating the number of incoming waves by using a MUSIC method, an Esprit method or the like.
When estimating the number of incoming waves, a threshold λTH is set with a noise taken into account, and it is discriminated based on the threshold λTH whether a characteristic value λ of the incoming wave belongs to characteristic values λ1 to λL in a signal space or characteristic values λL+1 to λK in a noise space, thereby accurately estimating the number of incoming waves based on the number of the characteristic values in the signal space after taking the noise into account.
