PURPOSE: To obtain a radar receiver which is of a simple and inexpensive constitution and is capable of preventing breakage of FET of a limiter diode and an RF amplifier.
CONSTITUTION: A radar receiver is provided with a diode limiter 4 which runs the current in the forward direction in a limiter diode 10 connected to a transmission line of high-frequency signals in parallel when the high-frequency signals are on the specified level or more, and limits the high-frequency signals at the specified level by setting the diode limiter to ON condition, an FET high-frequency amplifier to achieve high-frequency amplification of the output of this diode limiter 4 by means of an electric field effect transistor 301, a pulse signal extracting means to take out the pulse signals generated when the transistor 301 becomes in the saturated condition by the increased high-frequency signals supplied to the electric field effect transistor 301, and a current supplying means to supply the current in the forward direction to the limiter diode 10 on the basis of the pulse signals obtained in this pulse signals extracting means.
