PURPOSE: To obtain a receiving signal suitable for evaluation and adjustment, by outputting only the part indicated by a control signal in the receiving signal to a memory part and outputting the part of a predetermined region in the stored and regenerated receiving signal as a regeneration signal.
CONSTITUTION: A receiving video signal is sent to a region setting part 5 through an interface part 4. The signal of a predetermined region is selected on the basis of the region set value data from a control part 12 in the region setting part 5 to be stored in a memory part 9 through a front change-over part 8. The signal read from the memory part 9 through a rear change-over part 10 is stored in a memory part 11 and a region indication data necessary at the time of regeneration is further stored in the memory part 11. Regeneration is performed by the procedure reverse to that at a recording time.
