This radar system identifies any one of the velocity, a distance, the position, and a property of the target on the basis of an arrival wave having arrived from the target in response to a wave signal, and has: and a Doppler shift specifying means for specifying the velocity of the moving body or the radar system in the direction of transmission of the wave signal by using the velocity sensor or the acceleration sensor mounted on the same moving body together with the radar system, and also specifying a Doppler shift produced in the wave signal in accordance with the velocity. The radar system has a correction means for correcting the frequency of the wave signal over the Doppler shift.
