To provide a radar system in which beam control is facilitated by making irradiation with high-energy beams in a horizontal direction compatible with orientation of the beams in a high elevation angle direction, in simple antenna configuration.
A radar system comprises an array antenna 11, a beam controller 3 and a reflector 12. The array antenna 11 includes a plurality of element antennas 15. The beam controller 3 controls the array antenna 11 to generate beams in a first beam scan range and a second beam scan range by controlling phases and gains of signals passing through the plurality of element antennas 15. The reflector 12 is positioned in the second beam scan range and reflected the beams, which are generated by the array antenna, within the second beam scan range.
