PURPOSE: To decrease load noise by making the winding height of a carcass ply lower than the height of the bead filler, and providing a rubber layer, the hardness of which is specified, in a contact portion between the bead portion and the rim.

CONSTITUTION: A bead filler rubber 14 is provided on a bead 12. In order to support the bead portion 12, a flipper 16 is wound in the periphery of the bead portion 12. Further, a carcass ply 10 is provided in the outer peripheral portion of the flipper 16. The carcass ply 10 is disposed downward from the inside of a radial tire along the bead portion, bent along the lower portion of the bead portion 12 and wound upward to make the upper end portion reach the central portion of the bead filler rubber 14. On the other hand, a rubber layer 26 is provided on the outer peripheral portion of a chafer 20. The hardness of the rubber layer is set to 50°-70° and disposed in a contact portion with a rim.
