Title:
RADIALLY CONNECTABLE LEAKPROOF COUPLING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3295304
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of wear and creep caused by rubbing of gasket against the end part of an end piece on the outside.
SOLUTION: A radially connectable leaktight coupling consists of a first and a second end piece 10, 12. The first end piece 10 is provided with a U-shape axially extended part 22 with a transverse groove 24 over the end part 14, and the second end piece 12 has a nearly circular flange 26 extended radially outward. The flange 26 is suited to be engaged with the groove 24 during the mutual transverse movement of two end pieces. One end 16 of the end piece 12 is provided with a circular seal gasket 28. The second end piece 12 has an elastic collar 30 with a radial face 35, and this radial face 35 supports a second radial wall 25 of the groove. One of two end pieces is provided with a protrusion 38 ideal for piercing the retreat part of the other end piece.
