PURPOSE: To prevent the object to be heated from nonuniform heating by a method wherein a jetting mechanism spouting a gas toward the object to be heated is provided at the periphery part of an infrared rays radiating body.
CONSTITUTION: An infrared rays radiating body 2 is fixed in the manner that the upper opening part of a cylinder-shaped case 1 with bottom is closed, the infrared rays radiating body 2 is formed of a porous ceramic form having a three dimensional reticulate framework structure. A fuel gas and a burning air are fed to the inside of a bottom part space S1 of the case 1, then mixed. By the burning of the mixed gas under relatively lower temperature on the surface and near by the surface of the radiating body 2, the surface of the radiating body 2 is red-heated. The surface of the radiating body 2 is structured so that the infrared rays are radiated toward the upper direction from the surface and a burnt exhaust gas is also discharged toward the same direction. Thereby, the nonuniform heating for the object to be heated can be prevented, the high heating efficiency can be obtained.
