PURPOSE: To prevent scatter of comfortableness due to ununifonnity of a radiation environment in a space to be air conditioned by imparting a temperature distribution to a radiating. surface of a radiation panel provided in the space to be air conditioned.
CONSTITUTION: An infrared sensor is, for example, provided at a center of a ceiling 3 exposed in a room 1 to sense surface temperatures of walls in the room 1 and to approximately calculate a mean radiation temperature. Heating amounts of heaters 25a, 25b, 25c are so regulated as to become the same a representative point of a living space in the room 1 such as at three points of positions separated at a predeternained distance from an inner wall 15 such as, for example, a central position in the room 1, a position separated at a predetermined distance from a glass window 17, a position separated at a predetermined distance from the wall 15, thereby controlling a temperature of a radiation panel 19. As a result, a radiation environment in the room 1 is made uniform. Thus, scatter of comfortableness due to ununiformity of the environment in a space to be air conditioned can be prevented.
