Abstract:

To provide a radiation-curable composition low in viscosity and good in coatability, capable of giving its cured product excellent in balance between load marking resistance and warpage resistance in the form of a laminate, and suitably usable as e.g. a protective layer of an optical recording medium, to provide the cured product thereof, and to provide such an optical recording medium using the cured product.

The radiation-curable composition comprises a components (A-1) and (A-2) described below. The cured product obtained by curing the composition by irradiating it with radiation is also provided. Besides, the optical recording medium having a protective layer comprising the above cured product is provided. Here, the component (A-1) is a trifunctional or higher functional urethane (meth)acrylate prepared by the reaction between a polyisocyanate and a hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate wherein the number of the carbon atoms of the alkylene chain interposed between the oxygen atom of the (meth)acryloyloxy group and the hydroxyl-substituted carbon atom is 3 to 12; and the component (A-2) is a compound which is not the (A-1) component and has a radiation-curable group and a number-average molecular weight of 900 or higher.
