PURPOSE: The titled resin composition which gives a coating having excellent gloss, flexibility and adhesion to a metal surface, comprising an epoxy-modified urethane (meth)acrylate obtained by reacting various materials with each other.
CONSTITUTION: The titled resin composition obtained by reacting a compound (A) having at least two free isocyanate groups in the molecule (e.g., 2,4-tolylene diisocyanate) with a nonlinear polyol, a polyol comprising a combination of a nonlinear polyol with a linear polyol or a linear polyether polyol (B) (espe cially, a lactone polyester polyol obtained by the ring opening polymerization of -caprolactone is desirable because it can be designed to have a narrow MW distribution), a dibasic organic acid and/or an organic acid anhydride (C) [e.g., maleic acid (anhydride)], an epoxy group-containing compound (D) of a MW≤5,000 (e.g., epoxy resin obtained from bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin) and a compound (E) having hydroxyl and (meth)acryloyloxy groups and a MW≤1,000.
