To provide a radiation detection apparatus for reducing the quantity of radiation incident to a photodetector.
The present invention relates to a radiation detection apparatus having a scintillator having a radiation incident plane to which radiation is incident, for converting incident radiation into light; a light transmission plate which is installed at a surface side opposed to the radiation incident plane of the scintillator, transmits through the light converted by the scintillator and absorbs the radiation transmitted through the scintillator; and a photodetector which is installed at a surface side confronted with the surface of the light transmission plate where the scintillator is installed, and detects the light converted by the scintillator and transmitted through the light transmission plate.
