Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable improvement in sensitivity of neutron detection as achieving miniaturization of a radiation detection device.SOLUTION: A radiation detection device (1) comprises: a fast neutron detector (30) that detects a recoil proton generated by a fast neutron reaction member (20); and a thermal neutron detector (40) that detects a charged particle discharged by a thermal neutron reaction member (50). The radiation detection device is configured to measure a dose of a neutron according to a detection result of the fast neutron detector and the thermal neutron detector in a state where the radiation detection device is worn by a user (U). The fast neutron detector and the thermal neutron detector are equipped with a pair of principal surfaces (30a, 30b, 40a and 40b) almost in parallel with each other, respectively, and are arranged with at least one part mutually overlapped in an X direction serving as an orthogonal direction of such the principal surface. Further, the thermal neutron detector is located closer to the user than the fast neutron detector.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
