Title:
RADIATION DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01163690
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To vary radiation detection width by dividing a photoelectric conversion part formed directly on a scintillator substrate at right angles to a channel array direction and connecting them through a switch. CONSTITUTION:A scintillator 11 is divided by metallic plates 14 into many elements and a protection film, a transparent electrode, a pin type amorphous Si layer, and an Al electrode film are laminated on each scintillator element. The photoelectric conversion part 12 is divided into three at right angles to the channel array direction. The divided photoelectric conversion parts are led to a voltage/current converting circuit 22 through the switch 21. This switch is turned on and off to vary the radiation detection with perpendicular to the channel array direction, thereby reducing noises.
