Title:
RADIATION- OR HEAT-INITIATED CATIONICALLY CURABLE COMPOUND AND ITS COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3479271
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an adhesive or coating composition exhibiting curability superior to that of an alicyclic epoxide composition by incorporating a radiation- or heat-initiated cationically curable compound having a styrene oxide structure into the same.
SOLUTION: This composition contains a radiation- or heat-initiated cationically curable compound represented by the formula, a cationic photo- or heat-initiator, and at least one alcohol or polyol. In the formula, R1 is H or CH3; one of R2 and R3 is H and the other is CH2-OCH3 or CH2O-C(O)-CH3; R4 is H, OCH3, or the like; and (y) is 1-6 and (w) is 1-5, provided y+w≤6. As the styrene oxide component, cynnamyl alcohol-, isoeugenol-, and vanilline- derived ones are listed. Diaryliodonium compounds and triarylsulfonium compounds are listed as the photoinitiator; and onium salts and pyridinium salts, as the heat initiator.
