Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a radiation image conversion panel wherein a slender columnar-shaped crystal having good adhesion to a substrate is formed by vapor-phase deposition, and the radiation image conversion panel manufactured by the method.
SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the radiation image conversion panel comprises forming a stimulable phosphor layer of ≥50 μm in thickness on the substrate by vapor-phase deposition in a vapor-phase deposition apparatus equipped with an exhausting outlet and a gas introducing inlet through which a predetermined amount of a gas is introduced thereinto. The substrate and an evaporation source are opposingly disposed. A straight line connecting the centers of the exhausting outlet and the gas introducing inlet passes through between the substrate and the evaporation source. The exhausting outlet and the gas introducing inlet are so disposed that the projected line of the straight line on the substrate plane passes on the substrate. The vapor flow generated by heating the evaporation source and the gas flow are intersected.
