Title:
RADIATION IMAGE CONVERTING PANEL AND ITS USAGE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3385562
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a radiation image converting panel used for a radiation image reading method by which an identification code is put and read without complicating a reader.
CONSTITUTION: A bar code 5 for corresponding to information concerning a radiation image by using a phosphor emitting fluorescence in a wavelength region detected by a photoelectric reading means having detection characteristic that light in the wavelength region different from stimulating light is detected by the irradiation of the stimulating light is put at a part 4b of the radiation image converting panel 4 having a stimulable phosphor layer 4a. By radiating the stimulating light to the panel 4 after accumulating and recording the radiation image on the panel 4, the fluorescence carrying the information of the bar code 5 is emitted from the panel 4 with the stimulated luminescence carrying the radiation image. By photoelectrically detecting the fluorescence, an image signal expressing the radiation image and a signal expressing the information of the bar code 5 are obtained.
