The radiation image generation system determines a communication channel between a first communication section of the FPD which communicates by a first radio communication system and a third communication section of a console based on information on radio wave conditions of the first radio communication system acquired by the third communication section of the console and detection results of a radio wave condition measurement section which measures the radio wave conditions of a second radio communication system of the FPD.
