To provide a radiation image reader capable of conveying image recording bodies of different thicknesses and sizes in a bending state at uniform speed, and capable of easily replacing a partial portion by an inexpensive structure.
The radiation image reader 100 includes: a plurality of stepping motors 126; a single motor driver for driving the plurality of stepping motors by synchronizing the driving motors with each other; a control part for controlling driving of the stepping motors 126 via the motor driver; a recording body supporting part 110 for supporting plate-shaped image recording bodies P on curved surfaces; and a transmitting part 129 held to the recording body supporting part 110 movably in the direction perpendicular to the curved faces 111A-111D for pressing the image recording bodies with the pressure toward the curved faces and transmitting the drive force of the stepping motors 126 to the image recording bodies P. Radiation irradiation images conveyed with the transmitted drive force are continuously read and deleted.
