Title:
RADIATION IMAGE SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2016118390
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable imaging at high radiation intensity and with high spatial resolution by means of radiation digital imaging.SOLUTION: A radiation image sensor for capturing images by means of a scintillator and an imaging element has apertures for blocking a part of fluorescence located between the scintillator and the imaging element, where the apertures are configured to exhibit uniform light transmittance for every pixel. Blocking a part of fluorescence generated by the scintillator prevents saturation of the imaging element, which enables imaging at high radiation intensity. Also, the fact that the apertures act as fluorescence blocking means, and that light transmittance for the fluorescence is uniform for every pixel keeps spatial resolution high.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
