To provide a highly reliable radiation measuring and monitoring device for security which can improve the verifiability of functions.
A signal processing unit 12 which has high-integration logic elements corresponding to functions of processing signals detected by a radiation detector 11 is provided, and the high-integration logic elements are divided according to every function. Consequently, the input and output of each function can be observed and the verifiability of it can be improved. The signal processing unit 12 also has a memory 22 shared by the high-integration logic elements, discriminates the high-integration logic elements for functions of security systems from those for functions of non-security systems, limits the access to the shared memory 22 by the high-integration logic elements for the functions of the non-security systems during the operation of those for the functions of the security system and executes the processing operation for the access to the shared memory 22 by the high-integration logic elements in a prescribed order.
