Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation monitor having simple constitution and capable of outputting radiation distribution.SOLUTION: When radiation is made incident on a scintillator 1, the scintillator 1 reacts the radiation to emit light. The emitted light is detected by an optical detector 2 arranged in the outer periphery of the scintillator 1, while advancing toward an outer periphery inside the scintillator 1. An incident position and an incident intensity of the radiation toward the scintillator 1 can be calculated by a signal reading/processing unit 3 based on a signal (light intensity) regarding the light detected by the optical detector 2. The incident radiation is read as a corresponding luminescent point 51 from a memory 4 and output based on the incident position and the incident intensity calculated by the signal reading/processing unit 3. As a result, the radiation monitor can output radiation distribution using simple constitution.
