Abstract:

To provide a radiation shielding material capable of maintaining moderate elasticity even though exposed to high radiation environment for a long term by obtaining high radiation shielding performance without deteriorating moldability and processability.

The radiation shielding material includes at least one rubber between butyl rubber and polyisobutylene rubber, a softener for softening rubber, and at least one powder between tungsten powder and tungsten compound powder.
