Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless charging technique and device for charging an electric device (or devices) in a closed space defined by a substantially hollow housing including antenna equipment and configured to define an internal hollow for propagating electromagnetic radiation from the antenna equipment.SOLUTION: In a charger 101, a housing 100 has an internal surface 136 surrounding an internal hollow 102, and a geometric shape and a material composition are selected so as to define a general propagation path for predetermined electromagnetic radiation generated from antenna equipment 120 to a charging zone 133. The internal hollow of the housing operates as a wave guide for directionally guiding electromagnetic radiation to the charging zone and providing the substantially maximum magnitude of the electromagnetic radiation in the charging zone.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
