Title:
RADIO COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009253379
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a radio communication method capable of improving switching control between a first transmission scheme and a second transmission scheme to attain both of high reliability transmission and high-speed transmission, wherein information signals are encoded to spatial direction and a same information signal transmitted from a plurality of antennas in the first transmission scheme, while each independent information signal is transmitted from the plurality of antennas in the second transmission scheme.

A received SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) under communication is detected periodically (S101), and a variance width is computed for the received SNR detected in a fixed time duration (S103). An average value is computed for the received SNR detected in the fixed time duration (S104), and an SNR section having a width according to the computed variance width is established (S107). When the computed average value is smaller than the minimum value of the established SNR section, the transmission method is switched to the first transmission scheme (S109). When the computed average value is larger than the maximum value of the established SNR section, the transmission method is switched to the second transmission scheme (S111).
