Abstract:
To provide a radio communication device and a radio communication method that reduce malfunction in which a squelch is opened to noise input in wide bandwidth of a reception frequency band in a radio communication system.SOLUTION: In a radio communication device and a radio communication method, a detector 13 measures RSSI values of, in addition to a frequency CH 1 of a voice reception signal, its previous and succeeding frequency CH 2 and 3, and a control circuit 20 performs squelch control so as to increase a squelch threshold value and have a squelch circuit 14 cut noise more if the measurement values are a particular level or more (during wide-bandwidth noise) and return the squelch threshold value to the original value and have the squelch circuit 14 normally perform noise cut when a call ends or the RSSI values are below the particular level (during normal time).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
