One Walsh sequence is selected for each combination of transmission data DT of plural bits by a selector, and the modulated signal is received by an antenna 5R and is converted to two base band signals I and Q orthogonally demodulated by an orthogonal demodulation part 7. These base band signals I and Q are multiplied in a multiplier 9 by all of the same Walsh sequence as a transmission system (1) in parallel, and outputs of this multiplier 9 pass integral discharge filters 10 and have amplitudes subjected to maximum likelihood discrimination by a maximum likelihood discrimination part 13. Since the integral discharge filter output corresponding to the transmitted Walsh sequence is maximum in this case, the combination of data for the Walsh sequence corresponding to this output is serially converted after selection, and demodulated data DR is reproduced.
